What the project is:
PUSH must be able to measure impact in order to understand what difference PUSH interventions are making in delivering a step change to economic development in urban South Hampshire. The Performance Management and Evaluation Framework has been adopted with the purpose to monitor and evaluate whether the right activities are being undertaken to ensure overall economic growth and that these activities are having the optimal effect. The Performance Management and Evaluation framework will be used by PUSH officers involved in front line project delivery as well as PUSH Leaders & Chief Executives and the Project Director with key lessons learned from the programme being shared with others.
Background:
DTZ has undertaken the strategy work for PUSH and provided a high level assessment of the work areas in order to be able to deliver 3.1% - 3.5% per annum economic growth (GVA per head) by 2026 and associated productivity increase of 2.4% per annum. This PUSH target is a statement aspiring to a step-change in performance. In order to achieve this overall economic growth, a process of monitoring and evaluating needs to occur to ensure that the target levels of growth are taking place.
